Oishii expands berries to ShopRite stores in Tri-State area

Oishii, the produce company behind the world’s largest indoor vertical strawberry farm, will introduce its coveted Berries to ShopRite locations in the Tri-State area, broadening its existing footprint along the East Coast.

ShopRite shoppers in the area will be able to celebrate the peak of summer all winter long with the refreshing tastes of Oishii’s Koyo and Omakase Berries, which are perfectly ripe and always-in-season Japanese varietal strawberries.

The Koyo Berries are available in 31 locations now and Oishii’s Omakase Berries will be available in select stores.

The Koyo Berry – meaning “elated” in Japanese – is marked by its rich red hue, refreshing sweetness, balanced acidity, and firm texture. Perfect for flavorful, everyday snacking, Oishii’s Koyo Berries are available for $9.99 MSRP for a standard tray – 11 medium berries, or 8 large berries.

Oishii’s Omakase Berry – meaning “I leave it up to you” in Japanese – are known for their sweet flavor, creamy texture, and fragrant aroma. Perfect for special occasions, Oishii’s Omakase Berries are available for $15 MSRP for a standard tray – 11 medium berries, or 8 large berries. Oishii’s Berries are grown in state-of-the-art indoor vertical farms in the U.S. and are pesticide-free, non-GMO, and always in season.
