GRAPHIC: Banana supply looks to rebound in 2024-25

There’s no fruit more popular to U.S. consumers than bananas. The three largest suppliers to the U.S. market are Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Honduras, and all three suffered a combination of bad weather, supply disruptions, and political instability, leading to a 4 percent drop in exports to the U.S. in 2023-24.

With the rise of Ecuador as a supplier and better conditions in Latin America, 2024-25 looks more promising.
