Alexandria, VA, September 25, 2024—The National Motor Freight Traffic Association, Inc. (NMFTA™) announced today a less-than-truckload (LTL) industry exclusive opportunity: a Benchmarking Best Practice Group Meeting hosted in conjunction with KSM Transport Advisors (KSMTA).

The first-of-its-kind for the LTL industry, this exclusive benchmarking meeting will be held three times a year for NMFTA members only. The next meeting is set for October 1-2, 2024, in Arlington, VA, in conjunction with NMFTA’s Fall Meeting.

The two-day meeting allows NMFTA members and its leadership team the opportunity to discuss in-depth topics directly impacting the LTL industry. Attendees will view various key financial and operational metrics for improving carrier efficiency and profitability.

This October’s session is focused on comparing and contrasting financial and operational results among member carriers and exploring effective strategies for recruiting, developing, and retaining pricing talent. As a partner and industry leader, KSMTA has helped carriers increase profitability by identifying their most pressing needs and designing and implementing initiatives to support ongoing financial and operational growth. The organization’s unique service offerings focus on helping carriers improve profits by enhancing margins, gaining efficiencies, and driving down operating costs using proprietary processes that identify valuable data to create actionable solutions.

This October, sessions will cover:

  • Updated financial and operational performance metrics;
  • Sharing best practices;
  • Exploring new benchmarks;
  • Strategies for recruiting and retaining pricing talent;
  • Automation improvements; and
  • Compensation models.

“The NMFTA Benchmarking event is one of several benefits that industry professionals can enjoy as members of the organization,” said Debbie Sparks, executive director for NMFTA. “We’ve added a Member Spotlight session allowing each participant to present impactful initiatives to garner meaningful conversations amongst industry peers and provide takeaways that can be immediately implemented within companies’ current strategy. We encourage attendees to invite their CEO, CFO, and other team members who can greatly benefit from the wealth of knowledge available in this exclusive opportunity.”
