AUSTIN, TX — The Texas International Produce Association BB #:162361 held a grassroots event April 5 on the south steps of the Texas Capitol to raise awareness for fruits and vegetables, and the business of the produce industry in Texas.
The event served as an opportunity for TIPA members to advocate with lawmakers during the state’s biannual legislative session, and to share more than 20,000 pounds of fresh produce grown in Texas, and imported through Texas border crossings.
TIPA plans to hold another distribution and advocacy event on April 19.
