ifpa state of industry report

February 7, 2023 Washington D.C. and Newark, De. – International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) BB #:378962 has released the State of the Industry Report to showcase the data, insights and outlooks that will help the industry as they prepare and plan for the challenges and opportunities coming this year.

“IFPA’s first State of the Industry Report explores how the IFPA member community, and the global fruit and vegetable industry can make a positive and powerful impact on the world, despite daunting challenges,” said IFPA CEO Cathy Burns. “As an organization, it is our duty to champion the data, insights and messages that create lasting change in consumption so that the world knows fresh produce and floral truly are the secret to vitality and vibrancy.”

The report is published in three languages including English, Spanish and Portuguese. All versions are available to download on the State of the Industry page.

The report features industry critical data including economic and consumption data, key trends according to IFPA research and other globally recognized research, and the future outlook for the industry.

Like the State of the Industry presentation, the report provides the foundational data and insights that can inspire, enlighten and invigorate industry teams as they work to drive the industry mission to grow consumption and a healthier world.

“The gap between where things stand today and the difference we need to make tomorrow (and tomorrow is none too soon) is what this report is all about,” said Burns. “As our members look at the data and trends that follow, I encourage us all to consider ‘what is possible?’”

IFPA is onsite at Fruit Logistica in Berlin the week of February 6 and will share a look at the State of the Industry report to those on site. Those interested in reading more and download the report and share it with their teams today.
