Today I am pleased to announce that Fleet has been acquired by Expeditors, the largest freight forwarder in the US!
I started Fleet out of the frustration I felt as a small business owner navigating a convoluted shipping process with poor customer service and high costs. The six years since starting Fleet have been an incredible journey, and I’m ecstatic about the future.
Over the past 18 months Fleet and Expeditors have worked closely to build Koho, a transparent and reliable platform for LTL shipments. Combining Expeditors’ volume and service standards with Fleet’s digital innovation further strengthens our customers’ supply chains and reduces unnecessary transportation expenses.
What can you expect moving forward?
As of May 11, Fleet will no longer accept new bookings for Ocean, Air or Full-Truckload (FTL) shipments. Fleet will continue moving previously booked shipments, and our customers can expect the same level of service.
Customers will also continue to have access to Fleet’s platform for any shipment tracking or documentation needs through July 31st 2020. Fleet will discontinue platform access after July 31st.
Customers who move less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments with Fleet are invited to join Koho to book future shipments. Koho and Fleet will work together to ensure a smooth transition for customers moving to the Koho platform. You can sign up for a free Koho account here.
Our team’s near term focus will be to accelerate Koho’s LTL platform, but we intend to add other modes as well as other related services in the future and will stay in touch as we progress.
