OPS names panelists on Retailer Roundtable

PRESS RELEASE Featuring candid commentary and thought-provoking discussion, the Retailer Roundtable at The Organic Produce Summit will highlight how each retailer incorporates organic fresh produce in their operations, as well as their analysis on the challenges, opportunities and future of the multi-billion-dollar organic fresh produce industry.

The summit is a two-day event specifically designed to bring together organic fresh produce growers, shippers and processors with retailer and buying organizations from across North America. Over 1,400 attendees will meet July 10-11 in Monterey, CA to exchange ideas, information and insight of the organic fresh produce industry.

The panel:
Vic Savanello, Vice President of Produce, The Fresh Market
With more than 35 years of retail and produce experience, Vic oversees management of The Fresh Market’s produce departments across all 161 stores in 23 states. Previously, he was senior director of produce for Allegiance Retail Services.

Greg Corrigan, Senior Director of Produce and Floral, Raley’s
Greg oversees all produce procurement and merchandising for Raley’s, Bel Air, Nob Hill and Food Source stores in CA and NV. Greg is also the newly elected chairman for United Fresh Fruit and Vegetable’s Board of Directors.

Don Barnett, Chief Operating Officer, Sun Basket
Don leads Sun Basket’s on-line delivery meal service that ships organic and sustainable ingredients to consumers across the country. Don was also a founding partner of Organic Girl.

The panel will be moderated by Tonya Antle, Co-Founder and EVP, Organic Produce Network. A driving force in farming and produce for more than 30 years, Tonya is the Co-founder and EVP of the Organic Produce Network (OPN). She is among the true advocates and trailblazers in organic produce.

OPS 2019 also includes a selection of field tours for retailers and buyers; a gala opening night reception and a trade show featuring 148 producers and processors of organic fresh produce from across North America and the globe.
