Kingsville, Ontario-based Mucci Farms’ CuteCumber Poppers won the Freggie Approved Award for the second year in a row.
Best New Product went to Mann Packing Co., Salinas, CA’s new Caulilini Sweet Stem Cauliflower, Best Organic Product went to Kingsville-based Mastronardi Produce Ltd. for its organic Angel Sweet tomatoes, and Eksjö, Sweden-based Shur Packaging Systems won the Packaging Innovation Award.
Shur’s innovation, a zip-top dual compartment steam bag, is currently in use by Green Giant Fresh’s One Step…Done! value-added potatoes.
CPMA also recognized booth winners, including:
EarthFresh Foods, Burlington, ON, a repeat winner for Best Island Booth;
MegaMex Foods, Austin, MN, for Wholly Guacamole’s Best In-Line Booth;
Greenhouse, Toronto, ON, for Best First-Time Exhibitor.
