USDA has imposed sanctions on three produce businesses for failing to meet contractual obligations to the sellers of produce they purchased and failing to pay reparation awards issued under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA).

USDA has imposed sanctions on Mestizos Group LLC (Mestizos), Garland, Texas, for violating the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA).

USDA alleged that Mibo Fresh Foods LLC, Ft. Worth, Texas, failed to make full payment promptly in the total amount of $1,861,502 to 14 sellers.

USDA alleged that So Ono Food Products LLC, Honolulu, Hawaii, failed to make full payment promptly in the total amount of $1,344,994 to seven sellers for multiple lots of produce in violation of the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA).

USDA has imposed sanctions on Burbano Corporation, doing business as CasaBella Farms Corp. (Burbano), Miramar, Fla., for violating the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.

The following businesses and individuals are currently restricted from operating in the produce industry.

These sanctions include suspending the businesses’ PACA licenses and barring the principal operators of the businesses from engaging in PACA-licensed business or other activities without approval from USDA.

USDA has imposed sanctions on Tyler’s Pride Produce LLC, Kenner, La., for violating the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA).

USDA has imposed sanctions on US Fresh Corp., Bronx, N.Y., for violating the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA).

QMP Sales, Westmont, IL, has met its obligations and is now free to operate in the produce industry.
