Florida mangos offer multiple benefits for regional East Coast and Southern retailers this coming summer.

The mango industry is having record volume of high-quality fruit arriving in the U.S. this year. Mango volume for the past three weeks has topped the charts at 4.4M, 5.1M and 4.6M boxes per week.

From the beginning of the 2022-23 campaign until the end of week 15 of this year (April 9), Peru exported 249,314 tons of fresh mangoes, registering a growth of 7.3 percent compared to the 232,275 tons shipped in the same period of the previous campaign.

The National Mango Board has added something extra to this year's "Cinco de Mango" campaign.

In the first two months of 2023, Peruvian exports by air reached 14,502 tons, reflecting a contraction of 2.1 percent compared to the volume shipped in the same period of the previous year, according to ComexPerú.

Colombia’s Sugar Mango Association is preparing for the first entry into the United States market, with arrivals beginning the second week of March. 

Up until week 50 (December 11) Peru exported 43,724 tons of fresh mangos by sea, reflecting an increase of 19 percent compared to the 36,646 tons shipped during the same period the previous campaign.
