This notice extends the exemption through December 31, 2020, subject to the restrictions and limitations.

This extension and expansion of Emergency Declaration No. 2020-002 is effective immediately and shall remain in effect until 11:59 P.M. (ET), May 15, 2020, or until the revocation of the Presidentially declared COVID-19 national emergency, whichever is sooner.

To ensure continue safety on the nation’s roadways, the emergency declaration stipulates that once a driver has completed his or her delivery, the driver must receive a minimum of 10 hours off duty if transporting property, and 8 hours if transporting passengers.
