7-Eleven, Inc. and Marathon Petroleum Corporation have agreed to divest hundreds of stores used to sell gasoline and diesel fuel in 293 local markets across 20 states to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that 7-Eleven’s acquisition of Marathon’s Speedway subsidiary violated federal antitrust laws.

7-Eleven, Inc. announced today that it has signed definitive agreements to sell 293 Speedway and 7-Eleven stores to three separate buyers.

7-Eleven, Inc. is changing the world of convenience with yet another Evolution Store featuring tacos on handmade tortillas, frozen margaritas on tap, a stocked Wine Cellar and Beer Cooler, fresh-baked croissants and cookies, customized espresso drinks, artisan craft sodas, premium cigars in a cedar-lined humidor and more.

As part of the agreement, 7-Eleven will acquire approximately 3,900 Speedway stores located in 35 states, for $21 billion in cash.
