In the first half of the year, Peruvian agricultural exports reached $4.11 billion, reflecting a decrease of 2.8 percent when compared to the $4.23 billion registered the same period in 2022.

So far in 2023, Peruvian grape exports reached 331,022 tons, showing growth close to 30 percent compared to what was registered in the same period of the previous year.

The coastal storm El Niño has generated warm weather in Peru, so the vines are being pruned, and the first table grapes of the 2023-2024 Peruvian campaign should start in September, when the campaign normally starts in October.

From the beginning of this campaign (April 1) to June 26, Peru exported 40.6 million kilos of fresh mandarins, reflecting a decrease of 4 percent compared to the same period the previous year.

Peru made up 61 percent of the world’s blueberry exports in the 2022-23 campaign.

From September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022, the U.S. exported 332,167 100-pound barrels of cranberries to Latin America, with Colombia being the second largest destination country in the region, accounting for 12.5 percent ​​of total exports.

The ASOEX Citrus Committee indicates that after the frosts and the recent rains that affected the country, it made a new estimate to the month of June of the citrus export volumes.
