(Tucson, AZ) – The Fresh Produce Association of the Americas BB #:144354 is ready to welcome the industry to Tucson next week for the SouthWest International Produce Expo (SWIPE), at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa on November 7-9. With a sold-out golf tournament and a sold-out expo, tickets to attend this event are a must.
“We cannot wait to welcome everyone to this premier Southwest experience. We are building something special here and are beyond excited to share it,” said FPAA president, Lance Jungmeyer.
While golf and booth spaces are sold out, SWIPE attendee passes are still available, giving people access to education sessions, networking events, the expo, and the full SWIPE experience.
SWIPE 2024 kicks off on November 7 with a sold-out, 55th Annual Desert Golf Classic at the stunning Starr Pass Golf Club. Hosting the golf tournament in coordination with the Fresh Produce & Floral Council (FPFC) for the first time led to quite a bit of industry buzz, and the waiting list continues to grow.
For the non-golfers, relaxing pool-side at the FPAA-hosted luxury cabanas at the Starr Pass is a great way to spend the afternoon among friends and colleagues. The evening will commence with a VIP reception and an Opening Fiesta where friends and colleagues celebrate under the desert night sky that makes the Southwest a must-visit location.
The sold-out expo floor will offer attendees unique networking opportunities with a nearly 1:1 ratio of exhibitors to buyers. Attendees walking the show floor will have a great opportunity to connect with sellers and buyers as well.
Friday’s educational sessions will explore key industry trends, including the power of women in produce, buyer-seller collaboration for evolving consumer demographics, and strategies for mitigating supply chain disruptions. Attendees will have the chance to engage with a diverse lineup of industry experts and buyers from leading companies like HEB, Piggly Wiggly, Walmart, Sysco, Markon, Giant, Sobey’s, Jewel Osco, Grocery Outlet, and more.
On November 8, SWIPE will feature a “Speaker’s Corner” on the expo floor, including sessions on sustainable supply chains, insights into the Tomato Suspension Agreement, and the latest innovations in supply chain technology for produce. These sessions are designed to provide practical insights that attendees can apply to their businesses.
The show winds down with Saturday’s activities that provide a more relaxed environment to wrap up the experience with informal networking and connections. Whether attendees choose the Border Tour to learn more about the Nogales Produce Industry, the Tucson Skeet Shoot Experience, or they visit the world-renowned Pima Air and Space Museum, Saturday is a great way to spend time with colleagues in smaller group settings.
