Colder areas of the Arizona/California desert region are experiencing light lettuce ice this morning after strong, cold winds swept through the area over the past two days.
This marks the latest ice event of any winter growing season in memory. Minimal delays are reported and no significant challenges are anticipated from this ice event. The forecast calls for higher temperatures in the upper 80°s to mid-90°s by April 10 through the middle of the month.
Markon inspectors will continue monitoring desert region quality and will update further as needed.
