WATSONVILLE, California – California Giant Berry Farms BB #:121061 today announced the appointment of Andrew “Andy” Rice as Vice President of Field Operations and Product Supply, reporting to president, Joe Barsi. Andy will play a vital role in the California Giant field operations and growth throughout North America, South America and Mexico.
Rice built his career at industry-leading berry companies, with a proven track record of managing large-scale berry production. Most recently, Rice oversaw 4,000 acres of berry production and close to 5,000 seasonal and fulltime employees in Central and Northern California.
“Andy is an outstanding talent who will be instrumental in delivering upon our vision of providing the highest quality berries in the most sustainable way,” said Joe Barsi, president of California Giant Berry Farms. “His experience and proven track record make us certain that he is the right leader for California Giant.”
Rice holds an MBA from California Polytechnic University and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the Arizona State University. He lives in Arroyo Grande, California with his wife, Megan, and their four children.
