Following four years of heavy growth, Urapa Produce BB #:349611 has gained over 50 years of veteran sales experience through the recent additions of Alejandro (Alex) Castillo and Dan McGrath. They join the young, Texas-based company looking to bolster its quick-growing roots in the avocado and mango markets.
Based out of the Chicago area, Alex brings a wealth of experience in the produce industry that covers all facets from warehousing, buying, selling, inventory management, logistics, and supply chain management, which most recently saw him as a Senior Market Specialist at CH Robinson.
At Urapa, he will be in charge of leading the company’s mango program as well as developing long-term partnerships. Not only is Alex excited to “work in an optimally productive environment,” but he also values “having the ability to help supply customers with Urapa’s commodities from the ground up.”
Located on the California coast, Dan McGrath’s journey to Urapa has included a career in sales and customer development that most recently had him serve as a Senior Market Specialist at CH Robinson. Dan will handle Urapa’s west-coast programs as well as establish strategic partnerships across the US. As Urapa’s newest team member, he is thrilled to “be at the forefront with two of the most upward trending commodities” and “looks forward to contributing to this small-sized but large-thinking company.”
