Grosvenor Food & AgTech has added supply chain and eCommerce food technology business GrubMarket BB #:301166 – which provides software and services that better connect food producers, suppliers and customers – to its portfolio of innovative food and agtech companies that are reshaping how we grow and access foods that are better for our health, better for the planet and able to improve producer economics.

San Francisco-based GrubMarket, in turn, sees Grosvenor as an important strategic investor that can help the company grow its transformative marketplace and healthier food supply chain business.

Stephan Dolezalek, Managing Partner, Grosvenor Food & AgTech, said: “Like us, GrubMarket is on a mission to develop a better food system. Its software is transforming the food supply chain by reducing waste, improving efficiencies and enabling more access to fresh, healthy food – often to parts of the U.S. where affordable access to fresh produce has proven challenging to deliver. We believe GrubMarket is aligned both strategically with our purpose as well as our wider portfolio of companies and that together we can deliver a lasting benefit.”

The food supply chain industry is just beginning to adopt the advances that have already reshaped the supply chains for many other consumables, in part because fresh food requires a much closer integration of the marketplace and the supply chain to provide better logistics, reduce waste, increase transparency, improve economics and democratize access to these marketplaces for both consumers and producers.

Launched in 2014, GrubMarket provides software and services that help link up and manage relationships between food suppliers and their customers — including wholesalers and other distributors, markets and supermarkets, delivery companies, restaurants, and consumers.

GrubMarket is uniquely positioned to help drive this new wave of digital transformation due to its expertise in world-class software development and immersive understanding of the food industry. Collaborating directly with producers through technology enables greater rewards for higher quality produce, lower cost and more convenience.

GrubMarket operates in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, Ontario and British Columbia (Canada), Argentina, Chile and Brazil (South America), South Africa, Spain, New Zealand and India, with plans to expand to the rest of the U.S., Canada, South America, and other parts of the world.
