In January and February of this year, Peru exported 46,569,108 kilos of onions for an FOB value of $14,621,075.
These figures reflect a decrease from the 59,181,849 kilos for $21,735,356 exported in the same time period in 2021, as reported by Agraria.
According to a report from Agrodata, the main destination for Peruvian onions during the first two months of 2022 was the U.S., where 53 percent of total shipments worth $7,812,315 were shipped.
The U.S is followed by Spain with $3,319,219, Colombia with $2,793,509, Chile with $222,066, the Netherlands with $122,935, Bolivia with $11,616, and others with smaller amounts totaling $339,416.
