The time is coming up for Mother’s Day promotions to hit the news wires.
I came across this amazing promotion from Family Features Editorial Syndicate: Cheese Bouquets, which are a combination of cheese, charcuterie meats, fruits and vegetables.
But, unfortunately, it’s not something people can buy in-store. It’s a series of instructions on how to build your own Mother’s Day Bouquet anchored with cheese. The promotion appears to be sponsored by the California Milk Advisory Board with bouquets created by Jessica Lawrenz, an Instagram influencer and cheesemonger.
Over the past few years, I’ve seen a lot of different categories wedge their way into the holiday bouquet business, like candy bars, beef jerky, and now cheese.
Listen, I love cheese. This is a fun promotion, but it is also 100% something a mom would have to make for herself.
I don’t want to be stereotypical, but I’m gonna go there. Nobody’s kids are making something that looks this amazing. If my kids tried to cut a wedge of brie into the shape of a flower and surround it with warm salami, let’s just say it would be … questionably edible.
And no respectable supermarket florist is gonna touch this potential food safety apocalypse.
So, let’s all sit back and enjoy the look of these cheese bouquets, and know they are something you pin to a Pinterest board and summarily dismiss.
