Pompano Beach, FL – Southern Specialties, Inc. BB #:142198 is celebrating their 30th anniversary. The company was founded by President and CEO, Robert Colescott, in 1990.
Robert and members of the company were instrumental in pioneering specialty vegetables, working with chefs and foodservice distributors to develop year round sourcing for products ranging from French beans to baby zucchini.
Today, the company grows and imports, quality assured specialty produce grown in 10 countries throughout the Americas and offers more than 300 different SKU’s. Southern specialties is a leading grower and importer of fresh green, white, purple and organic asparagus marketed in bulk and value added presentations.

The company has recently completed expansion of its Pompano Beach, FL facility to 150,000 square feet that includes new sales and executive offices, additional cold storage, forced air cooling, additional value added packaging capabilities and receiving and shipping docks.
